Business Development Manager – Transport & Logistics

Location: Hull / North of England

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + Company Car + Benefits

I'm working with a leading transport and logistics provider that’s well-established across Europe and growing steadily in the UK market. With a strong reputation for reliability and innovation, my client specialises in tailored logistics solutions for a wide variety of sectors – and they’re now looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to lead business growth across the North of England.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of existing customers, ensuring long-term satisfaction and repeat business
  • Proactively identifying and winning new business opportunities across the region
  • Creating and executing a clear sales strategy in collaboration with the wider commercial team
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and operational teams
  • Leading responses to RFQs and helping shape customer proposals
  • Maintaining a strong sales pipeline and reporting on progress

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in B2B sales, ideally within transport, logistics, or supply chain services
  • A confident communicator and relationship builder who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing role
  • Commercially minded with a proactive, self-starting approach
  • Strong understanding of the transport/logistics sector and the ability to speak your customers’ language
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
