Mystery Shoppers Ltd is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to drive new client relationships and tailor solutions for customers. You will balance proactive development with essential admin to ensure smooth transitions from lead to order.
You should enjoy working with people, listening well, and building trust-based relationships that lead to long-term partnerships. Office hours are standard, with pro-rata holiday and DBS checks where applicable.
Here at Mystery Shoppers Ltd (MSL), we are on a mission to improve customer experiences all over the world. We send people to businesses to act as real customers. Mystery shopping provides ongoing clarity on service standards and motivates teams to continuously deliver a great experience for every customer, every time.
Now before you get too excited, we don’t just spend our time shopping all day! Here at Mystery Shoppers HQ, we work behind the scenes to arrange for members of the public who have signed up with us as mystery shoppers, to go to our client's locations (banks, shops, railway stations etc.) at the right time, and once they’ve spent some time interacting with staff, they fill in their feedback questionnaire. We then read through it to make sure it’s of a good quality, before we submit it to the client and provide them with ways in which they can improve.
We work in all industries, and have carried out all sorts of types of mystery shopping, from the classic burger orders to lengthy mortgage applications. Anywhere a customer experience exists, whether in person, on the phone or online, you will find us promoting positive customer experiences!
We are a medium-sized, family-run business and have been going for 35 years. Our HQ is in Holsworthy, Devon.
Much of our success so far has come through reactive sales and word of mouth; and currently, we're struggling to keep up with all the inbound enquiries we receive!
Our way of working is consultative, thoughtful and partnership-led. We do not believe in hard sales. We believe in real conversations, listening properly, and delivering genuine value to our clients.
Our company values are really important to us all, and you will see them in how we treat our clients, our shoppers and each other. They are as follows; Trust; Teamwork; Continuous Improvement; Innovation; Quality; Accountability; Ownership and Passion. Our teams are hugely important to us, and we will happily provide testimonials.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Business Development Director at an important stage of our journey. The role will involve managing client enquiries, designing them a tailored solution and managing them through to a sale. Once sold, you would carefully hand the client over to the project team and set them up for success.
We are hoping to find someone who enjoys working with people, is able to balance the proactive business development approach with the necessary supporting admin and attention to detail. We are not looking for a forceful sales style. We are looking for someone who builds trust, listens well, and believes that lasting relationships are always worth more than quick wins.
