Location:Gloucestershire (with occasional travel)

Hours:37.5 hour per week

Salary:£48,000 - £52,000 (performance-based bonus up to 20% of base salary – can be discussed at interview)

About the Role

The role of a Business Development Manager will help us grow our reach and make a bigger impact at Prosperity Care & Wellbeing. You’ll play a key part in building strong partnerships with local authorities and health organisations, helping more people access the personalised support we offer.

You’ll focus on developing trusted relationships with commissioners, procurement teams, and key stakeholders across local councils and NHS bodies. By staying on top of commissioning trends and policy changes, you’ll be able to spot new opportunities where our services can make a real difference.

Working closely with our care and wellbeing teams, you’ll help create thoughtful, tailored service proposals that reflect local needs and our values. You’ll lead the preparation of bids and tenders and negotiate contracts that are sustainable and in line with our person-centred approach to care.

You’ll also make sure everything we deliver meets the highest standards—ensuring proposals are compliant, high quality, and truly compassionate. Once new services are up and running, you’ll track their performance, helping us improve what we do and celebrate the impact we’re making.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings a mix of strategic thinking, sector knowledge, and a genuine passion for improving lives through high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll be confident working with others, navigating complex systems, and turning opportunities into meaningful partnerships.

You’ll need to have:

  • Degree or equivalent in Health & Social Care, Business, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Experience working with supported living or community-based care services
  • Experience in business development, commissioning, or contract management within health or social care
  • A solid understanding of UK social care systems, funding structures, and commissioning processes
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence in writing proposals and working within procurement frameworks.
  • A collaborative mindset and a genuine drive to make a positive difference
