Our client is looking to recruit a dynamic Business Development Manager to work remotely covering the North of the UK.

The purpose of the role is to:

  1. Achieve or exceed the agreed budget for product families of responsibility.
  2. Operate a dynamic and effective business plan in line with the sales strategy.
  3. Develop an individual targeted & progressive sales pipeline for product families of responsibility.
  4. Engage with customers to develop new business opportunities, both project-based and serial use.
  5. Support regional managers and distributors with their sales opportunities.
  6. Work with appointed partners to deliver integrated solutions.
  7. Manage the completion of sales processes efficiently by supporting and collaborating with all departments.
  8. Maintain customer and sales data in a timely, secure, and accurate manner within CRM and other reporting processes.
  9. Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, including digital platforms.
  10. Manage and report expenditure in accordance with the timescales laid down by the company.
  11. Meet the management objectives and agreed competencies laid out for the role development.

Main Tasks:
  1. Self-generate customer meetings and develop key relationships across the complete buying centre.
  2. Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of company products and solutions to support customers.
  3. Support the demonstration of products and solutions to customers at a high level.
  4. Apply a strong understanding of application requirements to build a Lovato solution architecture.
  5. Management of daily enquiries, projects, and quotes referred from the office &/or self-generated.
  6. Implement, manage and collaborate on commercial agreements to secure business opportunities.
  7. Preparation and support of sales budgets for responsible product families.
  8. Demonstrate a dynamic list of prospect customers and strategy sales campaigns.
  9. Support & attend trade shows, lunch & learns, and other activities to represent Lovato.
  10. Actively support & collaborate with all departments to help achieve overall company goals.
  11. Monitor and report key market trends, new & emerging opportunities, and competitor activity.
  12. Undertake any reasonable requests by Management in support of overall company goals.

The right candidate would need to have:
  1. An electrical qualification coupled with demonstrable experience in the sale of industrial automation and/or energy management equipment is preferred.
  2. Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  3. The ability to be self-motivated, to work using one's own initiative without direct supervision.
  4. A current, clean driving licence.

In return, the company is offering a salary up to £50k, bonus scheme, company car plus other benefits to be discussed at interview.
