Job description

A brilliant opportunity has come up to work with a fantastic, corrugated packaging company that targets businesses in the Industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, engineering, retail, and fmcg sectors. The company has been running for 50+ years as a leading corrugated manufacturer in the UK and they are seeking a Business Development Manager who is looking to further their career and help with the continuous growth of the company.

Position: Business Development Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE)
Location: Midlands (Central/West)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Regularly prospecting new customers and using a solution/consultative approach.
2. New business development: Target markets include industries such as Industrial, Construction, E-comm, Automotive, and Aviation.
3. Managing and nurturing a small portfolio of customers and regularly up-selling.
4. Contributing to sales budget, revenue monitoring, and margin improvement.
5. Continue to look at market trends and growth areas.
6. Working closely with the design team to come up with new ideas for products.
7. Engaging with customers in the UK and possibly expanding into new markets.

Requirements:

1. 3-6+ years of experience in packaging products such as corrugated cartons, stretch wrap, tubing, etc. However, other sales professionals will be considered who have strong sales experience.
2. Must be happy to achieve £500,000 plus targets.
3. Familiarity with the Midlands area.
4. Strong business development skills.
5. Experience in sales and a technical understanding of packaging products.
