Job summary

East Lancashire Learning Group is seeking a Business Development Manager for Accrington & Rossendale College. The role involves building relationships with external agencies, employers and stakeholders to identify opportunities across a pan-Lancashire footprint.

You will manage accounts with a focus on ethical growth and student engagement, aiming to meet enrolment targets. Based at the Accrington site, occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
• Experience in a varied role including administrative tasks.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Proven account management or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with external agencies, employers and stakeholders to identify opportunities for the College group.
• Manage a portfolio of accounts with a focus on ethical growth and satisfaction.
• Help achieve engagement and enrolment targets.
• Assist in recruitment and selection processes for apprentices as required.

Hours: 37 per week

Working Weeks: 52 per year

The successful candidate will be primarily based at our Accrington & Rossendale College site but may be required to travel across sites.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Work with external agencies, community representatives, employers and stakeholders to identify and secure opportunities for the whole College group including Adult Learning and Apprenticeships, in a pan-Lancashire footprint
• Manage a portfolio of accounts with a strong focus on ethical growth, client satisfaction and maximising full College portfolio opportunities
• Achieve engagement and enrolment targets
• To be actively involved in the recruitment and selection processes for apprentice, including the vacancy matching and interviewing as required

What We Are Looking For:

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English, at Grade C/4 or above
• Experience of working in a varied role, including administrative tasks
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
• Proven Account Management experience, or other relevant experience
