Drinks are a dynamic, experienced, leading local drinks company with a genuine passion for providing our customers with an extensive range of quality products and excellent service.

Our extensive portfolio boasts over 2,000 products across spirits, wines, beers, soft drinks and other bar essentials from crisps to blue roll.

We work closely with major drinks industry supply partners and have strong partnerships with local suppliers such as Mac Ivors Cider, Cocktail Keg Company as well as several local distilleries such as Hinch, Copeland and Boatyard. We are also agents for several premium wine brands such as Mionetto Prosecco and Lanson Champagne.

Based in Belfast, Drinks Inc has been part of the Musgrave Group since 2019. We are now recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our Licensed Wholesale team to be responsible for developing the Drinks Inc business within Northern Ireland through effective sales, margin control and relationship management.

What you will be doing:
  • Develop the Drinks Inc business through effective sales growth and relationship management in both the on and off trades within a set geographical area.
  • Achieve quarterly sales and margin targets in line with the objectives of the Drinks Inc business overall.
  • Grow the Key account business in the area by developing existing relationships and opening new accounts.
  • Win and develop profitable new business and work with the broader Drinks Inc team on opportunities.
  • Develop on and off trade wine sales by growing market share and securing new on-trade wine lists.
  • Implement the company marketing plans driving promotions and NPD.
  • Full compliance with the company credit control policy.
  • Collaborate with support functions including logistics, trading, marketing and Telesales to drive customer service.
What we are looking for:
  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a proactive field-based sales role; experience in the licensed trade would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience of growing sales and achieving targets within your industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen and customer focus.
  • Ability to make decisions, meet targets and work under pressure.
  • Excellent planning, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • People person with the ability to network and build strong working relationships.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Competent in MS Office to include Excel and Word.
