The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and developing long-term client relationships within the exhibition and events industry. Working closely with marketing and operations teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s portfolio, securing new business, and ensuring exceptional customer service from first contact to post-event follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic sales plans for exhibitions and trade shows.

Identify new business opportunities and generate leads across target industries.

Sell customised exhibition stands and display solutions, tailoring packages to meet client objectives.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing accounts effectively to maximise retention.

Work closely with marketing to create engaging campaigns that attract high-quality exhibitors.

Manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools, tracking and reporting on performance.

Conduct competitor and market analysis, ensuring pricing and offerings remain competitive.

Attend networking events and industry exhibitions to develop key contacts.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven sales experience with at least 2 years in exhibitions or events.

Track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Self-motivated, highly organised, and able to manage multiple projects.

Experience using CRM software and other sales tools.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.
