Business Development Manager

Industry: Mechanical Engineering Components

Product Focus: Flow Control Products / Fluid Handling (Valves / Pumps / Mixers / Actuators etc.)

Company Overview: Mercury Hampton is exclusively retained on this vacancy. Our client is a leading manufacturer of innovative flow control products sold into demanding process industries and industrial customers such as water treatment, chemical process, agriculture, aerospace, military, water processing, marine, nuclear, logistics, and data centers. They are a global company with an excellent reputation for the quality of their products, service delivery, and technical support.

Role Overview: We are looking for a dynamic, inspirational, and experienced technical sales professional to sell world-leading products into industrial markets across the South of England. You will have a proven track record in technical sales in industrial markets and a strong technical background, either in engineering or a scientific degree/discipline, or hands-on engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and drive sales, managing and supporting existing key accounts.
  2. Focus on business development and new client acquisition.
  3. Provide advice and support regarding all product applications.
  4. Understand fluid handling and flow control principles.
  5. Engage with customers in the chemicals industry, petrochemicals, water, and water purification markets.

Package: Basic salary between £40,000 - £52,000, Executive High Spec Company Car or Generous Car Allowance, + Bonus OTE £60K++, plus excellent executive benefits.

Location: Home Based, Anywhere South of Birmingham (including Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton, Bristol, Cambridge, Basingstoke, Southampton, Reading, Swindon, London etc.)
