Job Description:

Due to company growth, an exciting and brand-new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing and highly successful energy and data organisation.

The role will be fully remote, with monthly attendance at Head Office in Surrey. The geographical focus will be national within the UK, selling EV charge points, Solar, and decarbonisation technologies to businesses, developing partnerships.

The role involves a 50/50 split between new sales and approaching existing customers from a warm database. We seek a true sales professional with proven business development experience, a confident and friendly approach, and enjoyment in building relationships. You will be targeted to attend at least one face-to-face customer meeting per week and four Teams meetings.

The focus is on quality meetings rather than call volume. You will generate leads, engage, secure new business, and pass clients to an Account Manager, ensuring smooth handover.

You will work to KPIs, report results, and provide market research insights. While accountable for your work, teamwork and sharing ideas are emphasized.

Skills/experience and attributes required:

  • 2-5 years’ solid experience as a Business Development Manager
  • Experience of face-to-face B2B sales is essential
  • Degree educated preferred
  • Driving license preferred
  • Experience in EV charging or solar power sales highly desirable
  • Knowledge about EV charging is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
  • Experience in lead generation, tracking, and closing deals
  • Inquisitive with strong fact-finding skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Modern, dynamic selling and presentation approach using various technologies
  • Friendly, approachable personality
  • Consultative sales approach with strong sales acumen
