Job summary

Circle Health Group’s London Independent Hospital in Stepney Green seeks a Business Development Lead to drive external referrals and grow market share. You will build relationships with GP practices, Primary Care Networks and other referral sources, developing plans and campaigns with the Marketing team.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours weekly) with a flexible shift pattern and training opportunities. Strong influencing and negotiation skills are essential, along with B2B healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Degree educated or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in an influencing role within healthcare or related B2B environment.
• Key Account Management experience with stakeholder engagement.
• Experience of customer relations management / B2B sales.
• Proven ability to thrive in a cross functional environment.

• Strategic and tactical thinking with strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a business development plan with the Executive Director and Sales and Marketing Manager to position the hospital and services.
• Identify key local referrer accounts from data sources for growth.
• Develop relationships with GP practices, physiotherapy practices and referrals sources.
• Identify and participate in initiatives to increase market share and improve the hospital’s referral reputation.
• Use data to plan and deliver tailored engagement strategies to increase referrals and revenue.
• Coordinate referrer engagement activities including visits, events, tours and webinars.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the referral journey as main point of contact.
• Work with marketing to develop collateral and digital campaigns and maintain newsletters/social channels.
• Deliver insights on hospital performance and referrals trends for continuous improvement.

Overview

The London Independent Hospital in Stepney Green is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Business Development Lead to join their team of staff in the Marketing department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Create in conjunction with the Executive Director and Sales and Marketing Manager, a business development plan targeting external stakeholders, which positions the hospital and services within the catchment areas to drive market share growth.
• Accountable for the identification of key local referrer accounts by analysing current growth, strategic importance and impact, and future potential from a range of internal and external data sources.
• Establish and develop strong relationships with GP practices, physiotherapy practices and other referrals sources including local Primary Care Networks, Optometrists and SME’s.
• Identify and participate in initiatives to increase market share and enhance the hospital’s reputation with referral sources.
• Use data and insights to plan and deliver tailored engagement strategies that increase referrals and revenue from existing and new practices.
• Coordinate and deliver a range of referrer engagement activities, including practice visits, educational events, hospital tours and webinars.
• Identify referrer practice needs and collaborate with internal teams to enhance the overall referral journey by acting as the main point of contact.
• Collaborate with hospital marketing team to develop and deliver targeted collateral and digital campaigns plus maintain active communication through newsletters and social media channels.
• Develop mechanisms to deliver insight and feedback received on hospital performance and referrals trends to enable continuous improvement.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

• Degree educated or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience gained in an influencing role within healthcare or related b2b environment.
• Key Account Management experience including stakeholder engagement.
• Experience of customer relations management / business to business sales.
• Proven ability to thrive in a cross functional environment.
