Business Development Executive – Workday AMS (Public Sector)

Scrumconnect Consulting is a digital consultancy delivering impactful change across the UK public sector. We are seeking a Business Development Executive to expand our Workday sales and AMS services portfolio within this sector.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will generate leads, qualify opportunities, support bid responses, and nurture long-term client relationships to develop new revenue streams. This growth-oriented role is ideal for someone with a strong commercial acumen and passion for cloud technology and digital transformation in government.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive new business across UK central and local government for Workday implementation and AMS support services.
  2. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive outreach, market research, referrals, and networking events.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams on campaigns and tailored proposals.
  4. Support RFI, RFP, and framework submissions with compelling value propositions.
  5. Develop in-depth knowledge of Workday’s offerings, especially in the public sector.
  6. Represent Scrumconnect at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  7. Utilize CRM for tracking sales activities, forecasting, and pipeline management.

Candidate Profile:

  • 4+ years’ experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in public sector tech/consulting.
  • Understanding of cloud ERP systems like Workday, Oracle, SAP, etc. (Workday knowledge preferred but not essential).
  • Proven ability to establish trusted relationships with public sector clients.
  • Excellent communication skills with a persuasive, consultative approach.
  • Organized, self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.

  • £50,000 base salary plus up to £20,000 performance bonus.
