Job description

We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join our London-based sales team. Focused on delivering revenue growth and unit (tower) hire targets, this role is responsible for generating and converting new business opportunities and managing and growing existing accounts.

As a key part of our growth strategy, you will actively target new clients, build long-term relationships, and help expand our footprint across Greater London and surrounding areas.

You will play a hands-on role in developing accounts, increasing market penetration, and consistently achieving monthly sales and asset-on-hire (tower) targets.

Key Tasks to Include:

  • Identify, contact, and convert new business prospects in sectors such as construction, infrastructure, and vacant property sectors.

  • Develop and manage a consistent pipeline of opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and tower number targets.

  • Prepare and deliver customer or market-based business plans to maximise revenue growth within your defined area

  • Conduct client meetings (on-site and remote) to understand project requirements and propose the most suitable hire solutions.

  • Work collaboratively with operations to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.

  • Monitor demand, competitor activity, and upcoming projects to capitalise on market opportunities.

  • Record all activity in the CRM system and provide accurate weekly pipeline and performance reports.

  • Play an active and successful role in growing the BauWatch value proposition in the UK and establishing us as the market leader within the industry

  • Full compliance with all H&S requirements, including use of correct PPE at all times.


About You

  • Proven experience in a business development or field sales role within the hire industry.

  • Strong commercial awareness with a focus on closing profitable business and growing hire volumes.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Self-starter with the ability to build a pipeline and convert opportunities independently.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales performance tracking.
