Job Title: Business Development Executive - Renewals

Location: London based – Hybrid working

About the BDE / Renewals Specialist position

My client is a fast-growing direct to business lender in the UK, founded in 2020. They pride themselves on cutting the red tape, reduce the paperwork, and eliminate the hassle to get small businesses the finance their business needs fast.

They built a bespoke tech platform which allows for easy and accurate decision making that enables an application, approval and funding to all take place within 1-2 days.

Responsibilities and duties will include:

In this role you will be focused on generating lending opportunities from the previous & current customer base of my client. Due to the fantastic service they provide to clients, often SME businesses will come back for future funding to support their business expansion plans.

Your role is accelerate that process & ensure my client remains front in their mind – Its currently a team of 1, looking to grow to 3 by end of this year due to success in last 12 months.

Day to day

  • Re-engaging with previous business customers to find out about their growth plans and build a warm pipeline of future deals
  • Calling out to existing clients who’s lending may be due to close and re engage for new lending opportunities
  • Work with the SME business owners to collate loan documentation and share with the internal team who can get the lending up & running

Key to success

  • Building long standing relationships & rapport with business owners
  • Proactive nature, call out and be confident in pitching the product
  • Work with the current team member to understand and learn from him ( Currently over 130% target)

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • SME Lending knowledge – Min 12 months in SME Lender or Broker
  • Sales / Business Development / Renewals experience
  • Team Player – Keen to work in a fast growing organisation
  • Good attention to detail so can work with underwriting team to close deal
