Job Description

As a Business Development Executive, you'll be at the heart of a fast-paced, founder-led business that's scaling rapidly in the healthcare space. This is an office-based role with a strong focus on outbound sales and direct client engagement, ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships and closing deals.Here's what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Own the full sales cycle - from generating leads to closing deals - with support from senior leadership during onboarding.
  • Drive outbound outreach via LinkedIn, email, and phone to engage GP surgeries, Primary Care Networks, federations, and other NHS stakeholders.
  • Make high-volume, high-impact calls daily, confidently navigating gatekeepers to reach decision-makers like GP Partners and Practice Managers.
  • Follow up relentlessly on leads generated through events, marketing campaigns, and inbound interest - no opportunity left behind.
  • Craft compelling outreach messages and proposals tailored to client needs, budgets, and goals.
  • Attend national healthcare events and exhibitions to network, generate leads, and represent the brand.
  • Collaborate closely with the founders to shape strategy, refine messaging, and drive growth.
  • Keep CRM (HubSpot) and Excel trackers up to date with lead status, pipeline progress, and daily activity logs.
  • Generate daily reports summarising outreach, meetings, and deal progress.
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns and social media content that drives inbound interest and brand visibility.
  • Create detailed meeting notes and follow-up actions from client calls and MS Teams meetings.
  • Support bid and tender submissions, helping the business win high-value contracts.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5 years experience in business development, sales, or direct marketing within a medical or healthcare environment.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, digital marketing, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a commitment to excellence.
  • Comfortable networking with senior stakeholders across the NHS and healthcare sector.
