VAC:543 Business Development Executive (BDE) – Aggregates / Construction Waste

Basic Salary: £35,000
OTE: £49,000 & competitive benefits package.
Ideally based in or around Leeds, York, Harrogate areas.
Office based (hybrid option 3/2).

We are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner for a nationwide supplier of solutions for management of contaminated materials arising from construction and demolition projects throughout the UK.

Role:
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will ensure that business plan revenue targets are met.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Business Development Managers by developing leads through prospecting new businesses.
  2. Call on key contacts at target companies to assess and qualify their needs for services.
  3. Pursue warm leads provided by marketing.
  4. Manage incoming sales inquiries created via direct marketing, social media, and web campaigns.
  5. Keep CRM system up to date with all client communications.
  6. Develop a sales plan in conjunction with BDMs to drive new business leads.
  7. Account management of existing clients to achieve a continuing/expanding business relationship.
  8. Maintain and develop a pipeline of new business and projects, providing accurate updates on customer performance and pipeline progress during weekly review calls.
  9. Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and functional descriptions.
  10. Ensure compliance with relevant environmental permits, regulatory guidance, company management system, and Standard Operating System (SOP).

Experience & Knowledge Required:

  • Technically/technologically savvy, especially with social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
  • Business savvy with effective communication skills at all levels.
  • Proven skills in all facets of the sales process (prospecting, nurturing, follow-up, negotiating, closing, attention to detail).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with service delivery professionals to nurture relationships and close sales.
  • Resilient and confident in overcoming gatekeepers and handling knock-backs.
  • Previous experience in Construction, Waste Management, or Telephone Sales is a distinct advantage.
  • Computer literate with solid experience in CRM software and MS Office.
