Overview

Business Development Executive, Swindon office for 3 days a week and 2 remote

This company helps businesses transform offices into inspiring, high-performing environments. With a growing reputation across the South West, they are expanding their sales team to reach more founder-led businesses and commercial landlords who value great design and smart delivery.

As the Sales Development/Business Development Executive (title is flexible), you’ll be the engine at the start of the sales process. Your role is to identify, contact and qualify new business opportunities, sparking conversations with decision-makers and booking meetings for our senior sales and design team.

This is a role for someone who’s naturally curious, digitally confident, and commercially sharp. You’ll thrive on starting conversations, understanding business challenges, and opening the door to high-value opportunities.

You need to be the sort of person who can spot a news story and see there’s an opportunity, who can read an article on LinkedIn and think – “we can help them”, who can think of new ways of getting in front of new potential clients, and who is not afraid to say “I’ve got an idea……”

You’ll be spending loads of time with the design team, the marketing professionals within the business, and the founders and senior leadership team, to make sure you have all the knowledge and experience you need to start your conversations, this is a truly collaborative team who LOVE to see people shine in their roles, so you’ll be very well supported.

What We’re Looking For
  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar sales or business development role (B2B preferred)
  • Confident communicator, especially over the phone and video
  • Proactive and well-organised with strong attention to detail
  • A clear, persuasive writer (especially for LinkedIn and email outreach)
  • Comfortable with CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics / HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and productivity tools
  • Tech-savvy and curious about new tools, especially AI for sales and marketing
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and not afraid of rejection
  • An interest in office design, property, or commercial interiors is a bonus
