Job Title: Business Development Executive (Apprenticeships/Commercial)

Location: Office/Field based – Must be flexible with travel across the West Midlands

Salary: Up to £28,000 (Depending on skills and experience) + bonus potential!

Type: Full Time, Permanent

KM Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a successful Training Organisation, which currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Executive to identify and engage with new and existing businesses, promoting the client’s full range of Apprenticeship and Commercial training offerings.

Key Duties:

  1. Utilise telesales, networking, and social media to proactively identify and engage with businesses, promoting the full range of Apprenticeships and Commercial Training programmes.
  2. Develop and maintain employer relationships (existing and new clients) and maximise all opportunities for growth and repeat business.
  3. Research new markets and businesses, engaging with key decision-makers to develop and sustain lasting relationships.
  4. Produce and deliver sales propositions and presentations, negotiating effectively with businesses.
  5. Work to achieve and exceed agreed monthly targets.
  6. Undertake Organisational Needs Analysis, promote the benefits of available training courses, overcome barriers, and provide advice on suitable training routes.
  7. Manage daily output using the client’s internal CRM system.
  8. Handle calls and face-to-face meetings professionally, providing an excellent customer experience.
  9. Maintain knowledge of policy changes, funding updates, and relevant business expectations.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Experience in a business-to-business sales role, ideally within the work-based learning industry (not essential).
  2. Experience of working towards and achieving targets.
  3. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  4. Confident, friendly, and professional manner.
  5. Ability to overcome objections.
  6. Good IT skills.
  7. Owns a car and is flexible with travel.
