Job Title: Business Development Executive (Apprenticeships/Commercial)

Location: Office/Field based - Must be flexible with travel across the West Midlands (Walsall, Cannock, and Birmingham)

Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 (Depending on skills and experience) + bonus potential

Type: Full Time, Permanent

KM Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a successful Training Organisation, which currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Executive. The role involves identifying and engaging with new and existing businesses to promote our client's full range of Apprenticeship and Commercial training offerings.

Key Duties:
  1. Utilising telesales, networking, and social media to proactively identify and engage with businesses, promoting our clients' Apprenticeships and Commercial Training programmes.
  2. Developing and maintaining employer relationships (existing and new clients) to maximise growth and repeat business.
  3. Researching new markets and businesses, speaking with key decision-makers to develop lasting relationships.
  4. Producing and delivering sales propositions/presentations and negotiating effectively with businesses.
  5. Achieving and exceeding monthly targets.
  6. Undertaking Organisational Needs Analysis, promoting the benefits and training courses available, and providing advice on suitable training routes.
  7. Managing own daily output using the internal CRM system.
  8. Handling calls and face-to-face meetings professionally, providing excellent customer service.
  9. Maintaining knowledge of policy changes, funding, and relevant business expectations.
Essential Criteria:
  • Experience in a business-to-business sales role, ideally within the work-based learning industry (not essential).
  • Experience of working towards and achieving targets.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Confident, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to overcome objections.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Car owner and driver, flexible with travel.
