Job description

Business Development Executive | £30,000 + company car | South West - home and road based

Axon Moore is pleased to be working in partnership with a unique and high-end wholesaler with international coverage. Due to growth plans, they have a newly created vacancy for a Business Development Executive to cover their South West region. You will ideally be based in the BA or SN postcode regions.

Reporting to the Sales Director, the BDE will be accountable for managing and developing the South West account base consisting of a variety of business types such as retailers, interior designers, hoteliers and property developers, whilst providing the highest level of customer service and support as well as meeting or exceeding all sales and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. To develop and implement strategies to grow annual sales revenues organically via enhanced sales support and excellent customer service.
  2. To assess the existing account base to ensure the right businesses are supplied, all accounts are commercially viable, and the market position is maintained.
  3. Assessing and approaching new business.
  4. Ensuring seasonal buying patterns are established with all retail accounts.
  5. Attend seasonal trade fairs and encouraging and increasing customer attendance and sales.
  6. To communicate enthusiastically to customers about the company's product and services as well as educate customers about new product ranges and trends ensuring a professional company and brand image is provided.
  7. To ensure regular showroom visits are undertaken in order to build on product knowledge.
  8. To be aware of current trends as well as awareness of the interior industry and competitors.
Required Skills and Experience:
  1. Have experience within the Interior Design or Homeware industries (or related qualification).
  2. Have the ability to form strong and mutually beneficial business relationships with a diverse account base.
  3. Be self-driven and have the ability to work independently and creatively.
  4. Must be a strong communicator and influencer.
  5. Results driven with good business judgement as well as being commercially aware.
  6. Tenacious, highly energised and self-motivated in order to independently plan weekly schedules.
