We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurialBusiness Development Executiveto join our growing team and champion The House of Hattiers across the UK, sharing our story, building lasting relationships, and shaping the next chapter of British rum.

THE ROLE

As Business Development Executive, you will represent Hattiers Rum within the trade, nurturing meaningful partnerships and driving growth across theon-trade (premium bars, restaurants, hotels) and off-trade (specialist retailers, fine food stores, select convenience) channels.

You will be the face of Hattiers for many of our key accounts, someone who brings both commercial acumen and brand sensitivity, ensuring that our presence in the market reflects our values of craftsmanship, quality, and purpose.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across on-trade and off-trade channels.
  • Build, manage, and grow existing accounts to maximise sales and brand visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with distributors, wholesalers, and key partners to deliver sustainable growth.
  • Conduct engaging brand trainings, tastings, and education sessions for trade partners and teams.
  • Support promotional activity, events, and consumer activations that bring the brand to life.
  • Track performance, report insights, and contribute to wider commercial strategy.
  • Represent Hattiers Rum at trade shows, festivals, and hospitality events as a true brand ambassador.
  • Uphold and communicate Hattiers’ values of quality, craftsmanship, and ethical business practice.
ABOUT YOU
  • Proven experience in sales or business development within premium or luxury drinks, wine, or FMCG.
  • A strong trade network and understanding of on/off-trade dynamics.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-starting approach.
  • Commercially minded with strong organisational discipline and attention to detail.
  • A confident communicator with a genuine passion for premium spirits and sustainable business.
  • Willingness to travel and represent the brand at key events (occasional evenings/weekends).

Full UK driving licence required.

PACKAGE
  • £28,000 – £32,000 base salary (dependent on experience)
  • £40,000+ OTE performance-based bonus scheme
  • 22 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays and paid closure between Christmas and New Year
