What's the role about?

Business Development Manager - Nestlé Wholesale

Are you experienced in the wholesale sector and passionate about using sales data to drive real results?Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where influencing key decision-makers and growing brand presence is key?

Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £28,000 to 30,500 per annum + up to 20% bonus + Company car

Working: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday

Location: Peterborough, Cambridge, Milton Keynes, Leicester, Ipswich, Luton, Coventry and surrounding areas

Powerforce is seeking confident and data-savvy Business Development Managers to join our Nestlé Wholesale team. This is a field-based role where you'll work closely with key wholesale accounts, using your knowledge of the sector to build strong relationships and unlock sales opportunities.

You’ll use market data and local insight to inform your sales conversations, identify growth areas, and drive availability and visibility of Nestlé products. If you’re from a wholesale or FMCG background and enjoy both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with key contacts in wholesalers across your territory
  • Use sales data and category insights to make informed recommendations and influence buying decisions
  • Maximise product availability by monitoring stock levels and identifying gaps or opportunities
  • Secure additional space and visibility through promotional displays and trade engagement
  • Deliver local activation plans including trade days, events and exhibitions to boost brand awareness
  • Track performance against KPIs and adjust strategies to deliver growth

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working within the wholesale or FMCG sector (e.g. cash & carry, route-to-market, distributor sales)
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills – comfortable working with sales data to drive decisions
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
  • A proactive, results-focused mindset with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Previous experience in business development, account management or territory sales
  • A full UK driving licence (held for 12+ months)
