Job description
Overview

Activate Business School has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive who can self-generate new opportunities using various prospecting techniques. The focus is to build a pipeline of new business prospects to secure new clients. The types of companies you will be working with are education establishments, SMEs and blue-chip organisations across all sectors.

This is consultative selling, where you will be tailoring our range of bespoke training solutions from both our Educator Academy and Business School to meet the client’s needs and requirements.

As well as building these relationships, you\'ll be ensuring our service standards, processes and procedures are adhered to, and that our KPIs are being hit. With the potential for growth in this business area, you\'ll be identifying cross selling opportunities so both you and the team can maximise revenue and achieve/exceed targets.

This is a permanent role working remotely with requirement to travel to prospect meetings nationally and internal meetings so a full, clean driving licence and car is required.

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business opportunities and build a pipeline of prospects to secure new clients.
  • Engage in consultative selling by tailoring bespoke training solutions from Educator Academy and Business School.
  • Build and maintain relationships with education establishments, SMEs and blue-chip organisations across sectors.
  • Ensure service standards, processes and procedures are followed and KPIs are met.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities to maximise revenue and achieve/exceed targets.
  • Travel to prospect meetings nationally and participate in internal meetings as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in a target-driven environment.

  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn about products and services.
  • Excellent IT skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders and external partners at all levels.

It would be highly desirable to have experience in sales, whether it\'s B2B, recruitment or services.

You will also have a solution-focused, innovative approach to work, with the ability to think outside the box and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
