Our client, an independent energy consultancy is looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team. As the Business Development Executive, you'll be responsible for identifying ideal target clients, verifying key contacts, and helping craft compelling messaging for key decision-makers. Key responsibilities of the Business Development Executive:

  • Researching high-value prospects using planning portals, market intelligence platforms etc
  • Identifying and verifying decision-makers (Energy Managers, CFOs, Directors)
  • Writing and refining outreach copy, both email and phone-based, to support engagement
  • Managing lead pipelines via HubSpot (full training provided)
  • Collaborating with marketing to improve campaign targeting and data segmentation
  • Attending commercial meetings and contributing to the early stages of the sales process
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of our outreach systems AI tools, CRM workflows, etc
  • Skills and experience required for the Business Development Executive:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in B2B telesales, lead generation, or a similar role
  • Strong communicator – clear, concise, and credible both on the phone and in writing
  • Skilled at researching and uncovering valuable data, insights, and key decision-makers
  • Commercially minded – understands how businesses work and what drives their success
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable asking questions or challenging assumptions
  • Background in sales, research, marketing, or customer-facing roles is a strong advantage
  • Thrives in a start-up environment – values structure but works well without rigid bureaucracy
  • Fluency in English is essential; an additional major European language is a plus
