This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced outbound sales professional to join our direct sales team to qualify and convert leads in a fast-paced and fun environment. You'll have the opportunity to earn uncapped commission, with a realistic OTE of £75k and the potential to earn £100k+ for top performers.

About us

Fast, flexible finance empowers small businesses to manage their cash flow better and seize opportunities — making their business and the economy stronger as a whole. At iwoca, we do just that. We help businesses get the funds they need, when they need it, often within minutes.

We've already made several billion in funding available to over 100,000 businesses since we launched in 2012, and positioned ourselves as a leading Fintech in Europe. Our mission is to finance one million businesses. We'll get there by continuing to make our finance ever more relevant and accessible to more businesses by combining cutting-edge technology, data science, and a 5-star customer service.

Our culture

We're expanding fast across our offices in London, Leeds, and Frankfurt. With all this growth, we're looking for people who want to learn on the job and manage projects, knowing that your ideas will impact thousands of small businesses.

Your mission

As a Business Development Executive, you'll build a high-quality pipeline of prospects and generate revenue by making outbound calls, booking meetings, following up with customers, using Social Selling tools, and much more.

Each interaction with a potential new customer is unique, requiring focus and independent thinking. How you manage your pipeline will make a significant difference in hitting your KPIs. If successful, the opportunity to grow and develop as a sales professional is unbounded.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and nurturing a high-quality lead pipeline by making a high volume of outbound calls, and occasionally dealing with inbound queries, always representing the company professionally.
  • Using Social Selling tools & techniques to maximize success in connecting with prospects.
  • Identifying and qualifying prospects that might need business finance.
  • Going above and beyond to hit and exceed your KPIs, enabling us to surpass sales growth targets.
  • Working as a team player and helping improve the overall success of this exciting part of the business.

Requirements

We look for people who are smart, humble, motivated, and always seeking improvement.

Ideally you'll:

  • Have past experience in sales, ideally within financial services.
  • Be comfortable making cold outbound calls with an outstanding call manner.
  • Be highly motivated and excited to exceed targets.
  • Be able to take on and provide quality feedback to support your growth and that of your teammates.
  • Be organized and able to manage a large pipeline of prospects at various stages.
  • Be able to simplify and explain complex products to customers with little experience in commercial financing.

Desired (but not essential):

  • Understanding the challenges facing small businesses.
  • Knowledge of different financial products used by small businesses.

We welcome applications even if you don't meet every point on the list or have other relevant experience.

Work-life balance is important at iwoca, and we offer flexible working arrangements, including part-time remote work.
