Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a motivated Business Development Executive in Inverness to support business growth through customer relationship management and sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will be experienced in sales, have strong negotiation and communication skills, and be organized and proactive. This role offers a basic salary of £30,000 with an OTE of circa £36,000 per year.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Executive to support the growth of the business. The role will focus on building customer relationships, developing sales opportunities, and providing day-to-day support to ensure a smooth and professional service.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with customers across Scotland.
  • Identifying opportunities for new business and supporting sales growth.
  • Managing customer queries and ensuring high service standards.
  • Negotiating and closing sales opportunities.
  • Supporting the sales team with administrative tasks such as order processing and quotations.
  • Keeping up to date with market activity and industry developments.
About You

We are seeking someone who is:

  • Experienced in a sales or commercial role (experience within the energy sector would be advantageous, though not essential).
  • A confident communicator and negotiator, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a varied workload.
  • Proactive, motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
  • Office based in Inverness
Salary & Benefits
  • Basic Salary: £30,000 per year
  • OTE: circa £36,000 per year
