The Role

We are a well-established print and digital products and services company based in Fordingbridge, seeking a driven and enthusiastic Business Development Executive Trainee. Initially, this role will be office-based, working closely with the Sales Director to learn about the business and sales processes. As you gain confidence and knowledge, you may transition into a field-based role or remain office-based, representing the company to clients. This is a unique opportunity for someone eager to develop a career in sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Proactively follow up on warm leads and convert them into new business opportunities.
  2. Drive new sales by identifying, approaching, and securing new clients within your assigned area.
  3. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, maximising opportunities for repeat and additional business.
  4. Take a strategic approach to business development, understanding client needs and tailoring solutions to secure long-term partnerships.
  5. Manage your schedule independently, booking and attending client meetings to drive sales growth.
  6. Consistently achieve and exceed KPIs through a results-driven and proactive approach.
  7. Build strong rapport with clients to foster trust, credibility, and long-term relationships.
  8. Travel across your designated territory with your own transport to engage prospects and generate business.
  9. Convert inquiries into confirmed sales by demonstrating value and delivering tailored solutions.

Skills and Experience

  1. A minimum of 1 year of B2B sales experience, thriving in a fast-paced sales environment.
  2. Proven track record of achievement in a sales or customer service environment.
  3. Professional, confident communication skills capable of engaging customers and building relationships.
  4. Open to new ideas and innovative thinking.
  5. Desire to develop a career within a B2B sales environment.
  6. Exceptional organisational skills.
  7. Enthusiastic, positive, and tenacious with a can-do attitude.
  8. Full driving licence and own transport are required.

Salary and Benefits

  1. £25,000 per annum plus £10,000 commission OTE in the first year.
  2. Monday to Friday working week.
  3. 28 days annual leave.
