Location: Bath Rugby HQ, Farleigh House, Farleigh Hungerford, Bath (with regular attendance at The
Rec, Bath city centre)
Reporting to: Head of Business Development

It boasts a strong, loyal and passionate fan base and home games are played at the idyllic Recreation Ground in the city centre.

The Role
Join Bath Rugby’s Commercial Team as a Business Development Executive, playing a key role in driving revenue growth. Working closely with the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing new revenue opportunities across sponsorship, advertising, and community partnerships.
This role would suit a commercially-minded and highly motivated sales professional, with experience in a similar environment, looking to further their career in a fast-paced, elite sports setting. The ideal candidate is proactive, target-driven, and capable of identifying opportunities, pitching, and closing business effectively.

Key Responsibilities
• Sponsorship Sales
Proactively identify, target, and secure new commercial partners through tailored sponsorship proposals. Work collaboratively with the Head of Business Development to ensure effective outreach and processes.
• Advertising Revenue
Lead on the sale of digital and physical advertising assets including static and LED perimeter boards, matchday programme advertising, digital media, team sheets, kit branding, and other commercial inventory.
• New Revenue Streams
Drive new revenue streams through the sale of sponsorship packages specifically aligned with the Club’s goals.
• Player Sponsorship
Generate income via selling player sponsorship packages meeting agreed targets.
• Commercial Agreements
Draft and review commercial contracts, acting as an initial point of contact for contractual queries and documentation across new business partnerships.
• Supporting Delivery of Key Events
Support the commercial objectives of Bath Rugby at our events including all home fixtures; representing the club effectively and using these events as a platform for business development.
• Identify Growth Opportunities
Work within a close-knit team in a fast-paced environment to achieve and exceed commercial targets and contribute innovative ideas to enhance revenue generation.




About You – Required Experience & Attributes
• 0–2 years demonstrated success in a similar sales-focused role, manging sales pipeline and proactive business development, ideally within sport or a related industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A strong commercial mindset with the drive to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Highly organised and confident in managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
• Professional, well-spoken, and persuasive, with a natural flair for relationship building.
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
