Business Development Executive

Based: Gransha Road, Bangor

About This Role

At the forefront of our organisation, the role of a Business Development Executive will be to proactively expand business through building relationships with new and existing customers. The Business Development Executive will be commercially aware maximizing sales and margin to meet agreed goals and targets, whilst staying abreast of market demands and trends.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00, Friday 08:30 – 16:00. Flexibility will be required depending on ad hoc event requirements. We are open to part time / job share options to suit the right applicant(s).

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: Monday 11th August

Role Responsibilities Will Include

  • To identify and generate selling opportunities for the full range of company products
  • Provide realistic quotations to satisfy customer needs
  • To negotiate best possible deals which satisfy both customer and company requirements
  • To maintain up to date customers records and use them as an effective selling tool
  • Exchange information to maximise selling opportunities, solve problems and make decisions
  • To ensure customers credit worthiness is established and properly controlled in line with agreed terms
  • Any other reasonable duties deemed necessary and reasonable for the success of the business

Suitable Candidates Will Ideally Have/ Be

  • Recent proven experience in an external face to face sales based role
  • Strong current knowledge of building materials and of the current construction market.
  • Willing and able to work both in a field and office based sales capacity
  • Full and clean driving license
  • Current knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • A passion for delivering customer service excellence
  • Competent in the use of IT (CRM, Excel, outlook etc.)
