Description

Salt Separation Services is a well-established, family-owned business based in Rochdale with over 35 years of expertise in desalination and water treatment technologies. We design, build, and maintain high-quality reverse osmosis (RO) systems used in industries such as naval, offshore oil and gas, marine, and defence. Our bespoke solutions help organizations worldwide access clean, drinkable water.

We combine technical expertise with service excellence, aiming to simplify access to water treatment systems through tailored engineering solutions and comprehensive lifecycle services. As we expand our commercial team, we seek passionate, technically skilled professionals to join our journey.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales & Promotion: Promote our RO and water treatment solutions to new prospects and existing customers.
  2. Business Development: Identify new markets, nurture opportunities, and convert leads into long-term relationships.
  3. Client Engagement: Regular meetings, trade exhibitions, technical discussions, and acting as a trusted advisor.
  4. Account Management: Build and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs.
  5. Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitors to inform strategies.
  6. Sales Forecasting & Targeting: Collaborate to develop and meet sales targets with accurate forecasts.
  7. Quotations & Proposals: Create tailored technical and commercial proposals and handle customer queries.
  8. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms to close high-value deals.
  9. Mentoring: Support junior sales colleagues through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven background in technical sales, business development, or account management
  • Experience in water treatment, capital equipment, or engineering solutions
  • Familiarity with complex sales cycles
  • Experience in regulated industries (MOD, Aerospace, Marine, Industrial) is advantageous
  • Ability to influence strategic initiatives with senior leadership
  • Desirable: understanding of reverse osmosis systems and technologies
