Job Description:

The role will be part of a successful, growing team focused on UK Central Government opportunities. The team is made up of salespeople who generate new opportunities and lead responses to large government procurement programmes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Management: Spend time with customers onsite, maintaining high satisfaction to retain and grow revenue. Travel may be required.
  • Contract Management: Work with delivery teams to meet commercial targets and ensure successful contract execution.
  • Opportunity Management: Focus on new business development within existing accounts and new logos, leading sales opportunities through our Commercial team or strategic partnerships.

Job Objectives:

  • Maintain and develop business primarily in existing accounts and new logos.
  • Build strong client relationships for repeat business and referrals.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews on performance, satisfaction, and improvements.
  • Lead sales opportunities, including bids and proposals.
  • Identify new opportunities through networking and lead generation techniques.
  • Manage sales pipeline, prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments for proposals.
  • Present sales proposals and conduct market research.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure solutions meet client needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in business development within the UK Public Sector.
  • Knowledge of Public Sector tender processes and Government Frameworks.
  • Experience in IT Services and technology solutions, not products.
  • Strong influencing skills across multiple levels.
