About the role

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Development Director to join our team to drive the expansion of our Contract Research Organisation (CRO) client base and market presence for our IRT product.

As Business Development Director for our IRT division, you will play a crucial role in expanding our CRO sales channel. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth. Leveraging your deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, you will spearhead initiatives to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within CROs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the CRO business development strategy for the IRT division, aligning with overall company objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO sectors.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clinical operations leaders, procurement professionals, and executive management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions to meet client needs and objectives.
  • Drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and close.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive developments, and regulatory changes to inform business strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven business development experience within the life sciences sector, preferably pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical research industry.
  • Demonstrable track record of success in selling technology services to CROs with a strong understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

This is a UK based decentralised role.

This position will require travel.
