Business Development Director - Employee Reward & Engagement Solutions

Our client is a leading global agency specializing in employee reward/engagement, sales incentives, and customer loyalty programs for international clients. They have experienced exponential growth and are continuing to expand organically. They are seeking a Business Development Director for a traditional hunter sales role, where customer intimacy and consultative solution-based selling are essential for success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve and exceed personal sales targets.
  2. Proactively prospect prospects through cold calling, social media, follow-ups, and qualifying opportunities.
  3. Focus initially on selling one primary solution to prospects and/or targeting mid-size organizations.
  4. Follow up on leads from marketing activities, manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing.
  5. Develop strategic account plans, stakeholder maps, and conduct research to support sales objectives.
  6. Collaborate with SMEs to create compelling solutions to meet client needs.
  7. Use CRM to record contacts and manage opportunities.
  8. Contribute to sales and business planning.
  9. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline supporting growth goals.
  10. Generate high activity levels and meet KPIs such as meetings, outreach, and relationship building.
  11. Create proposals that differentiate the company and win profitable business.
  12. Develop strategic partnerships and grow existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling.

Skills Required:

  • Over 10 years of B2B sales experience targeting medium to large clients.
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets, maximizing profit, and closing deals over £1m.
  • Experience selling complex solutions with long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, proactive hunter with successful outbound prospecting skills.
  • Experience selling to HR and Sales & Marketing leaders is preferred.
  • Background in employee engagement, rewards, sales incentives, and loyalty sectors.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Tenacity, resilience, and determination.
  • Proficiency with CRM, MS Office, and relevant technologies.
