Job Description:

Due to growth, a leading technology company require a Business Development Director working across EMEA, supporting the Business Development Managers and their Regional Managers in regions to grow sales revenue, profitability and develop long lasting partnerships with ISV’s, Integrators and VARs. There is no man management aspect to this role nor is it a pure sales role; you’ll be delivering projects, defining strategy and solutions across all markets supporting the BDMs to develop new business.

Key Responsibilities of the Strategic Business Development Director include:

  • Develop initiatives that will drive incremental revenue and profitability, working collaboratively across different regions.
  • Apply expert knowledge of vertical market penetration tactics that can be replicated across our regions.
  • By assessing the market, develop new business through well-conceived initiatives
  • Identify good practice/success and help to enable colleagues in all regions.
  • Act as a technology and market advocate within the business.
  • Apply knowledge of wider technology trends, image capture and process workflow markets.
  • Deliver keynote speeches that articulate the value of our products and solutions in the technology context.
  • Own and nurture the commercialisation of relationships with key EMEA integrators, ISV partners and opportunity enablers.
  • Promote collaboration between the different ecosystem players across different technology offerings and regions.
  • Own the strategic vision and go-to-market approach for key vertical markets, understanding what is common across our regions to gain the competitive advantage.
  • Closely liaise with Product Management and Channel Marketing colleagues to provide market intelligence to identify key business drivers, and opportunities for growth.
  • Gather intelligence and market feedback on sales opportunities that can facilitate knowledge transfer and successful sales outcomes across the entire region.
  • Collaborating with colleagues throughout the company to develop go-to-market strategy for new product offerings, supporting delivery of business in the regions.
  • Identify new offerings, channels and partners to position products. Including, but not limited to: Identifying 3rd party adjacent product offerings that can be sold as complimentary products.Creating new ways to present our products to our existing customer base.Identifying opportunities to position our products to new applications, industries and customers.
  • Attaining sales targets through driving new business offerings.

Key Experience required by the Strategic Business Development Director include:

  • Channel Knowledge – It is critical the job holder understands how the IT channels work, how they are motivated and how to engage with them.
  • Understanding of technology with a specific focus on technologies related to image capture and workflow.
  • An experience of working within Enterprise Content Management, Document Imaging, Workflow or an adjacent industry.
  • Build value by creating and commercialising solutions together with ISVs, Integrators, VARs and other solution providers.
  • Able to build strong and robust business plans with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for growth within and outside traditional channels.
  • Deliver information in a concise, engaging and understandable style.
  • Engage at all levels within the channel from distribution right the way through to end users with a comfort for dealing with the C suite down.
  • An excellent communicator who is equally comfortable at creating and delivering key-note content including presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • An experienced result-based sales oriented professional with a strong sales and solutions background.
  • A clear and logical thinker that understands how to develop opportunity and create a clear and meaningful strategy for growth.
