This is a very exciting Business Development Director role within a global organization. They seek an inspirational and experienced Director-level candidate with a passion for selling advisory and design services in Decarbonisation, Distributed Energy, and Energy Efficiency. You will lead business development efforts targeting a wide range of existing and new large Public and Private sector clients. In addition to solution selling, you will be responsible for service strategy, development, and integration both externally and internally for the organization.

Role Responsibilities and Requirements
  1. Engage actively in national field-based sales with existing and new customers to promote and close Energy Efficiency and Decarbonisation design and advisory services, including channel proposition development.
  2. Collaborate with account management and sales teams to promote services such as Smart Buildings, Embedded Energy, Electric Vehicles, etc.
  3. Lead the development and closing of proposals and presentations for independent consulting projects.
  4. Manage a sales pipeline, coordinating with operational consulting teams, including prospecting, pipeline management, and order closing.
  5. Present to management teams and build networks with sales professionals in the UK and globally.
  6. Ensure delivery opportunities are transitioned into the pipeline for broader business opportunities, e.g., capital project delivery.
  7. Develop and execute external campaigns targeting specific market segments.
  8. Mentor junior team members to foster a commercially focused approach.
Key Skills and Qualities
  1. Bachelor’s degree completion.
  2. 7–10 years’ experience in Business Development and Sales.
  3. Strong knowledge of selling Decarbonisation, Distributed Energy, and Energy Efficiency advisory services.
  4. Experience with UK public and private sector clients is preferred.
  5. Experience in service commercialization and thought leadership.
  6. Excellent internal and client influencing and communication skills.
  7. Proven bid development and presentation skills.
  8. Understanding of real estate, construction, or development sectors.
  9. Experience in developing marketing materials to articulate a compelling vision.
