Business Development Director, Boston/Cambridge

Panome Bio is a multi-omics company providing biopharma innovators with access to biomolecules that drive phenotype and function. Our proprietary workflows in metabolomics, proteomics, and multi-omic integration accelerate R&D from discovery to clinical development. Headquartered in Saint Louis, MO, the qualified candidate will work remotely in Boston or Cambridge, MA.

We are seeking a field-based Sales Executive for the Boston and Cambridge territory. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in biology, molecular biology, metabolomics, proteomics, and related fields, with the credibility to consult with customers and influence technology and service decisions. Business acumen and a proven track record in account management within the biotech and pharma research sectors are essential. Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing field sales accounts.
  2. Developing and executing sales strategies to expand metabolomics and proteomics services.
  3. Understanding customer goals and building value propositions aligned with our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consulting with customers on technology solutions with technical credibility.
  • Prospecting and closing sales effectively.
  • Territory planning, market analysis, and accurate forecasting.
  • Creating and managing a business plan to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Understanding scientific and business needs of clients.
  • Managing sales processes, including forecasting, pipeline, and tracking via CRM.
  • Conducting sales presentations leveraging product knowledge.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, or related field, or equivalent experience.
