Job Description

  • Business Development Director - Asia Pacific
  • Drive Commercial Growth: Lead business development across APAC with a focus on revenue, profitability, and brand equity.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and prioritise new market opportunities (e.g., South Korea, Japan, SEA, Australia) and lead commercial entry strategies.
  • Partner Management: Build and manage relationships with key distributors, retailers, and e-commerce partners; negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Channel Strategy: Shape and optimise channel mix across DTC, retail, distributor, and e-commerce.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and NPD to ensure commercial success in-market.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Own commercial forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking for the region.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Awareness: Stay informed on local market regulations and ensure alignment across stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven track record in business development or commercial leadership within the personal care/beauty/cosmetic sector.
  • Deep understanding of Asian markets, ideally with experience across multiple countries (e.g., China, Japan, SEA, South Korea, Australia/NZ).
  • Strong network of regional distributors, retailers, and/or e-commerce players; experience of Sasa, Guardian, Watsons, Mannings etc would be of interest.
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment, balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills and cultural fluency.
  • This role is based in England with weekly travel to the UK; planned international travel also to be expected.
