Job description

We are currently looking for a Business Development Director in the Horsham area to work for a leading social housing contractor to join the fire compliance team. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities within the social housing sector, focusing on life safety compliance solutions,This is a permanent position, which offers hybrid working and a company vehicle!

As the Business Development Director, you will be:

  • Monitoring the performance of business development activities, providing regular reports to senior leadership
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including housing associations, local authorities, and other relevant organizations
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential new markets, partnerships, and opportunities for growth
  • Responsibility for developing and implementing business development strategies that align with the organization's overall objectives
  • Recruiting, develop, lead, coach and manage a team of first–class business development professionals

Ideally, we are looking for a Business Development Director who:
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or related field
  • Has previous experience in a similar role within social housing
  • Demonstrable successful track record of Business development, team leadership and strategic partnerships within the social housing sector
  • Proven success in developing and applying winning New Business strategies
  • Has already built & lead a Team for a minimum of 3 years with a demonstrable and remarkable record of sales growth over a sustained period

In return, the Business Development Director will receive:
  • 90,000 – 100,000 per annum
