Job Description

Recently, in December 2023, CoStar Group acquired OnTheMarket (OTM), with plans to develop it into the UK's premier Residential Property portal, offering an exceptional user experience for home buyers, sellers, agents, and developers.

Role Overview

As an OTM Business Development Consultant (BDC), you will manage and grow your existing client base, work with a dynamic team, and adopt an entrepreneurial approach to selling, training, and retaining clients across the OTM product suite. You will represent OTM at industry events and network with property professionals.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop new business by sourcing and generating leads.
  2. Understand and promote the OTM product suite to meet customer needs.
  3. Identify and contact potential clients.
  4. Meet with clients in person.
  5. Negotiate business terms.
  6. Collaborate with senior team members to manage risks and communicate results.
  7. Build relationships through excellent communication and product knowledge.
  8. Represent OTM at industry events and networking opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Proven sales success, preferably in online marketplaces, portals, or B2B environments.
  • Experience in maintaining and growing client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and objection handling skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet metrics.
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Consultative selling and account management experience.
  • Ability to build relationships and problem-solve with clients.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
