Job Purpose:

  • As Business Development Associate, you will predominately cover the Wales S.W Region of the UK as part of the Sales department generating new business.
  • The purpose of this role is to develop you into a BDM by increasing your experience at obtaining new prospect and nurturing the relationships to on-board new clients to the company.
  • As part of the BDA role, you will also be expected to build on existing relationships by either growing our service delivery through up-selling existing services or adding new service lines.
  • You will focus on sales for commercial, industrial and process system water treatment servicing throughout the UK, and you will work with the Company's core values at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Implement sales plans in line with SMS growth strategy.
  • Implement agreed sales plans to achieve sales targets for Harwell and Nationwide if appropriate.
  • Identify new prospects and develop relationships with existing customer base.
  • Raising quotes for internal (account managers) and external clients.
  • Identify opportunities for marketing seminars/events and manage through to completion.
  • Plan events and work with the marketing teams to promote these across various platforms.
  • Arrange meetings for Senior members of the sales team (CEO, CMO, Chairman) and assist with those meetings, including delivering presentations of our service offering and Opuz demonstrations.
  • Identify growth opportunities.
  • Report sales prospects and ideas to the CMO.
  • Champion the sales tracking process using HubSpot and ensure this is onboarded effectively through the rest of the sales teams.

Essential Skills
  • Previous sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and great networking skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong IT skills- experience of using multiple internal systems
  • Strong Team Player

Desirable Skills
  • 2+ years of Water Hygiene industry experience
  • Strong technical knowledge, experience and training within Industrial Water Treatments, such as cooling towers, closed systems and steam boilers is beneficial
  • Degree in a Science subject or Engineering would be advantageous but not essential

Qualifications
  • Technical knowledge of Water Hygiene Industry would be very helpful.
  • Health and Safety training and knowledge
  • Clean driving licence - travelling to client's site is essential for this role
  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
  • Degree in a Science subject or Engineering would be advantageous but not essential
