Business Development Assistant (Maternity Cover)

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Assistant to join our client's team on a maternity cover basis. This role offers the opportunity to support the Corporate Finance and IP, Tech, and Data teams, providing a high level of autonomy as the primary point of contact for these practice areas. You will work under the guidance of the Senior BD Manager, building relationships with key stakeholders and supporting various business development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Marketing and Pitches: Draft marketing and credentials documents, and competitive pitches with tailored messages, often to tight deadlines.
• Collateral Creation: Create, distribute, and update brochures, newsletters, social media, and other marketing materials.
• Directory Submissions: Assist with Legal 500, Chambers, and other legal directory submissions, ensuring high-quality submissions.
• Event Support: Work with the Events Manager and Senior BD Manager to produce and deliver outstanding client events in London and support overseas events.
• Client Relationship Management: Help partners develop profitable revenue growth on key client relationships and support strategic initiatives.
• Research and CRM: Conduct targeted client research, champion best practices of the CRM system, and support media plans for different practice areas.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Graduate calibre with at least one to two years of BD experience in a professional services environment.
• Demonstrates values of individuality, commitment, teamwork, and straight talking.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to deliver high-quality work consistently.
• Proactive, positive attitude, and a supportive team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Innovative and commercially aware, with good desktop publishing skills.
