We are recruiting for a Business Development Advisor working in a full time and permanent position for our client who are based in Leicestershire.

Salary £30,000 per annum

Quarterly bonus

Full time - Monday to Friday - 7:30am until 5pm - 1 hour lunch break

23 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays

About the role:

To provide outstanding sales and service support, focusing on Merchant base of customers. Responding to and proactively identifying sales opportunities and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

The Business Development Advisor will be required to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

· Work closely with the Field Based Regional Account Manager to deliver a coordinated approach to the Merchant base.

· To professionally manage customer enquiries, provide technical advice, raise and manage quotations and raise sales and purchase orders as well as other administration duties.

· Generate new business opportunities by proactively contacting customers through outbound calls and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities during customer interactions.

· To assist in delivering the sales targets and profitability of the branch.

· Manage and maintain an accurate record of all interactions and follow-ups with customers.

· General Sales duties including call answering, dealing with customer enquiries at the trade counter and via email.

· To help create and maintain an outstanding team work ethic within the branch

About you:

· Previous experience of working in sales (proactive account management experience would be an advantage).

· Basic understanding of the building and construction industry terminology and principles would be an advantage.

· Previous experience of working in the Merchant market would be an advantage.

· Good communication skills both verbal and written.

· A solid foundation in basic mathematics and written English.

· Excellent organisation and time management skills.

· Proactive and positive approach and mindset
