Position Summary
The Lifestyle Lab Europe is a dynamic innovation team dedicated to developing brand new products and features for Samsung’s home appliances and air solutions. We work at the intersection of data, insight, and innovation, partnering closely with internal product planning and R&D teams to shape future product line-ups tailored to European markets and consumer needs. Our team of innovation specialists spans quantitative and qualitative consumer research, product planning, design, and business strategy. We are seeking a strategic problem solver adept at uncovering insights in data and linking innovation to product strategy.
Your key responsibilities
Analyse product, sales, and market datasets to uncover business opportunities and white spaces
Lead quantitative research and integrate findings with other research streams to identify clear, actionable strategies
Develop market sensing reports on products, trends, and consumer needs
Uncover local needs by conducting field research (e.g. consumer home visits, shop visits and conferences)
Benchmark competitors’ strategy (e.g. product launches, portfolios, technical specifications, features, pricing)
Create data visualisations and dashboards to easily communicate complex insights
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on concept developments and research projects
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Proven experience in data-driven business, product, or marketing strategy development
Expertise in quantitative research and statistical analysis methods; proficiency with market analysis platforms (e.g., GfK, Euromonitor)
Strong skills in market modelling, forecasting, and opportunity sizing
Expertise in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modelling) and PowerPoint for data-storytelling
Experience in turning numbers into insights that impact decision-making
Comfort with ambiguity, experimentation, and exploring new approaches
Intellectual curiosity with the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new products, technologies, and markets
Openness to responsibly explore and test new research methodologies (e.g. AI) to diversify and streamline our processes
Collaborative approach with the willingness to both learn from and mentor others
Experience in consumer electronics or home appliances sector
Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Multilingual proficiency (English + another European language)
What does success look like?
Within 6 months you should achieve the following:
Gain familiarity with Samsung’s expansive product portfolio and innovation processes
Deliver targeted market sensing reports that provide unique, data-backed European insights to stakeholders
Support ongoing innovation projects — contributing quantitative depth to ideation workshops, research synthesis, and product concept validation
Build strong working relationships across innovation, R&D, and product planning teams
Master the available resources, software, and data platforms for your role
