Job Summary

We have created two new roles within our thriving East Cowes facilities: Business Data Analysts (BDA). These analysts will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and interpreting data to support effective management of the Operations Function. They will regularly review and extract data from business systems, including ERP, using Excel, programming languages, and visualization techniques, to analyze and present operational reports, KPIs, and trends.

In addition to presenting data, BDAs will analyze and interpret information to identify trends, highlight areas for attention, and propose improvements to business strategies to support business development within operations.

Job Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Review and analyze operational performance data to support business development.
  • Provide regular reporting, data analysis, and trend reviews for key metrics including hours management, Tier board data, improvement plans, workflow optimization, Quality, SPC control data, and OEE data analysis.
  • Prepare regular reports for audit activities.
  • Produce monthly presentations for management reviews.
  • Support ad hoc data requirements, such as project KPIs.
  • Maintain, manage, and communicate results according to project KPIs and governance.
  • Apply PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) approach and use A3 problem-solving tools to ensure project success and sustainability.
  • Manage data governance and ensure master data quality in collaboration with other data owners to maintain data integrity across financial systems.
  • Identify data quality issues and assist in resolving them.
Job Qualifications

Suitable candidates will demonstrate:

  • Experience in a similar role, including data architecture, data flow documentation, data modeling, and data quality management.
  • Proficiency in creating insightful reports and presentations using tools like Power BI.
  • Ability to analyze data and suggest process improvements.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
