Our Team
Our Business Credit Risk team plays a pivotal role in shaping our lending strategy across Business lending. We're looking for a Senior Specialist to join us and help innovate and grow responsibly while ensuring our lending meets customer needs and regulatory standards.
What you'll be doing
- Transforming how we assess the performance of the business lending portfolio from a credit risk perspective.
- Implementing new monitoring methods to identify trends, strengths, and weaknesses, driving efficiency and automation.
- Providing actionable insights, oversight, and challenge regarding the credit quality of the portfolio to internal and external stakeholders, including senior committees and regulators.
- Leading deep dives and assessments of portfolio composition and asset quality, engaging with teams as needed.
- Identifying new data sources to enhance insight quality, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure proper provisioning.
- Supporting the development of Credit Risk Appetite metrics, limits, and triggers, ensuring effective engagement across all levels of risk management.
- Promoting continuous improvement, streamlining processes, and addressing complexity in portfolio management.
- Supporting the Credit Risk Manager in managing the business lending portfolio.
We need you to have
- Proven experience in a credit risk environment with strong technical skills in SAS, Python, R, SQL, or similar tools.
- Experience creating efficient reporting suites that improve portfolio management.
- Ability to communicate complex credit risk matters clearly to senior leaders.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy and robustness.
- Curiosity and an inquisitive mindset to analyze trends from first principles.
- Proven ability to influence positively and collaborate effectively to implement solutions.
- Experience building trusted relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
- Experience in business credit risk modelling and analytics.
It's a bonus if you have but not essential
- Experience in business lending within an IRB environment.
- Knowledge of Risk Management disciplines and the three lines of defence model.
