Job Description:

MCS Group is supporting a large public sector organization based in Belfast in recruiting a HR Business Coordinator. The role includes:

  • Supporting the Human Resource Manager(s) in managing human resources and employee relations issues in accordance with organizational policies and procedures, ensuring legislative compliance.
  • Acting as investigating officer for grievances and disciplinary cases, conducting investigations per HR policies.
  • Managing human resource records related to recruitment, discipline, sickness absence, overtime, leave, etc., and developing reports for operational and senior management.
  • Monitoring and auditing departmental HR performance data, including overtime, agency work, and attendance.
  • Participating in absence management, disciplinary, and grievance cases as needed.
  • Assisting in managing sickness absence, monitoring absence data, and implementing absence policies.
The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A third-level qualification in Business Studies, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Advice and guidance experience in key HR subjects.
