Are you passionate about managing live business services continuity and ensuring that end users, customers, and IT teams understand how to plan for service disruption and recovery?

If so, we would love to hear from you!

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is experiencing an exciting period of change and rapid growth, making it a great time to join us.

As Business Continuity Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting NICE to achieve its goals of delivering stable, cloud-first, secure-by-design, user-focused services that enhance employee effectiveness.

Interviews will be held on the 23rd June 2025.

Building on extensive experience, you will be critical in preparing and protecting NICE from potential disruptions, ensuring business teams can maintain effective operations during incidents and recover swiftly afterward.

You will collaborate with teams across NICE to identify gaps and service requirements for business continuity management (BCM) and the supporting IT/digital services and systems.

The scope includes the full DIT portfolio, from approximately 30 in-house built services such as the NICE Website to internal operational tools like Microsoft 365 and Dynamics.

Responsibilities
  1. Drive the development and maturity of business continuity and disaster recovery plans to minimize impacts from events like natural disasters, cyber-attacks, or emergencies.
  2. Create disaster recovery strategies for all employee enabling services, e.g., M365, and ensure proper communication and training.
  3. Collaborate with engineering teams within DIT to identify disaster recovery measures that meet business needs and implement them.
  4. Analyze technical systems, services, and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement in availability, resilience, and data loss prevention within the business continuity context.

The Digital, Information and Technology (DIT) directorate comprises a 70-strong team of digital, information, and technology professionals. Our teams adopt a user-centric agile approach, working in multidisciplinary teams to develop and maintain NICE’s digital and technology services, supporting the organization’s digital transformation.

We manage NICE’s externally facing digital services, including the website, Clinical Knowledge Summaries, and BNF, which attract over 2 million users monthly.

The Live Services Manager role is within the Infrastructure and Operations team, responsible for cloud and on-premise infrastructure, networks, telephony, and the Service Desk.

We offer a great working environment with good benefits, flexible working, and a supportive, inclusive culture.
