Job Description:

Function:

The Business Consultant works with customers and internal teams to ensure the successful implementation of the UMAX solution, focusing on customer needs from a business and market regulations perspective. The role involves providing business and market guidance, supporting mediation decisions, and focusing on Irish energy market experience and ERP implementation expertise.

Based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR, the role requires experience in the Irish market (ROI and NIE) and ERP experience is a plus.

UMAX is a cloud-based software for water and energy utilities built on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a link between Business and IT.
  • Managing customer expectations and translating needs into functional requirements.
  • Attending workshops and meetings onsite.
  • Providing feedback to product development, sales, and marketing.
  • Contributing to the evolution of the UMAX solution.
  • Collaborating with clients, sales, pre-sales, and project teams.
  • Participating in project meetings and identifying risks.
  • Delivering high-quality consulting services.
  • Upskilling colleagues and understanding energy market best practices in Ireland.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy market.
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant in ERP/CRM projects.
  • Expertise in business requirements and understanding customer processes.
  • Business Process management skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Team player with problem-solving mentality.
  • Proactive, quality-driven, customer-oriented, adaptable.
