Function:

The Business Consultant will work for the customer and the Itineris project and service delivery teams. They will be responsible for the success of the UMAX solution by ensuring customers’ needs are managed from a business and market regulations perspective. The role focuses on providing relevant business and market guidance to our application consultants and supporting mediation decisions with the customer Business.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK or EIR and requires experience of the market in Ireland, both ROI and NIE and ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX is our software solution for water and energy utilities. It automates their business processes and enables better customer engagement. UMAX is a cloud-based solution built on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

As our Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you…

• Are the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts in translating business needs into Functional requirements.
• Attend workshops & meetings with the customer onsite.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Itineris standard UMAX solution for market readiness.
• Collaborate and develop strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project delivery teams.
• Participate in project progress meetings and proactively identify risk areas.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services to new and existing customers.
• Work with Itineris consultants to upskill according to industry best practices and understand the energy market in Ireland (ROI & NIE).
• Continuously develop and extend your knowledge within the Utility market, especially in Ireland, and transfer knowledge to colleagues.

What you bring

• Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent experience).
• In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least +5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant, preferably in large, complex ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in identifying business requirements and a strong understanding of customer business processes.
• Skilled in Business Process management.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with Dutch as a plus.
• Willing to travel to client sites depending on project phase.
• A team player with a problem-solving mentality.
• Hands-on approach, proactive, and driven by quality.
