Location: Guernsey, Haywards Heath, Home Office (Remote) or Manchester

Salary: £73,652 - £92,065 - depending on experience

We’re looking for a Business Consultancy & Analysis Lead who’ll be responsible for defining and delivering Business Analysis and Business Consultancy services. These services, in collaboration with Enterprise and Solution Architecture, support business strategy and plan development to enable the delivery of high-quality business solutions aligned to those plans.

In addition to strong Business Consultancy/Architecture skills, you’ll possess leadership skills as this role comes with line management responsibilities for our Business Consultants and Value Stream Business Analysts, as well as leading the Business Consultancy & Analysis Community of Practice.

We value flexible working arrangements, so you can choose to work remotely or from our offices in Salford Quays, Manchester, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, or Guernsey, with occasional office visits.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and leading a team of Business Analysts and Business Consultants
  • Resource planning, capacity forecasting, and issue management
  • Performance management and training
  • Leading the Business Consultancy & Analysis Community of Practice
  • Defining standards, practices, and policies within an Agile framework
  • Monitoring effectiveness and implementing continuous improvements
  • Developing Business Consultancy & Analysis services
  • Ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with organizational goals
  • Supporting business strategy development through analysis and opportunity identification
  • Collaborating with Enterprise Architects on target operating models
  • Engaging with stakeholders to identify innovation opportunities
  • Creating deliverables like business models, capability maps, value streams, and journey maps
  • Facilitating communication and change management activities
  • Reviewing current and target business states using analytical techniques
  • Collaborating with delivery teams to ensure continuous value delivery
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices
  • Leading meetings, workshops, and presentations
  • Building relationships with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and standards

Experience & knowledge:

  • Experience in strategy formulation, business analysis, and architecture, ideally within an agile environment
  • Proven ability to develop and monitor solutions for complex problems
  • Knowledge of EA tools and techniques
  • Leadership experience within an Agile framework
  • Experience with business architecture techniques
  • Change facilitation and process re-engineering experience
  • Financial analysis and business case development skills
  • Ability to influence business and technology leaders
  • Insurance or financial services background preferred; other backgrounds considered
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements (including Consumer Duty)
  • Stakeholder management skills
